In addition to the 18 scientific streams there is a business stream on Wednesday (all talks take place in the Aula ("AachenMünchener Halle") in the main building). In the sessions in this stream companies present OR & Business Analytics success stories. The talks are no marketing or product shows, nor do they focus on the scientific background. Their sole purpose is to demonstrate the value of OR, its impact and benefit to the customer, and its usefulness in general: why should a company use OR? Presentations may but need not be technical, and should be accessible to other participants from other businesses. The presentations may serve as showcases for the classroom. Talks are focused: 15 minutes of presentation are followed by 5 minutes discussion.
